Herbs for natural skin care should match your skin type

Herbal products for skin care are becoming more popular, but different herbs have different properties. Unless you know what are the property, you can wind up with preparations that make dry skin and dry oily skin oilier. Herbal products are a good idea if you're a fan of natural skin care, but you will discover what are the best before buying. Here are the basics that you need to know: dry skin needs herbs with emollient properties. Emollients soothe and soften skin and help replace some of the skin of natural oils. Astringents oily skin needs to strengthen the skin, close the pores and help heal the blemishes that are more important with this type of skin. As stains may be infected is also a good idea to combine those with astringent herbs that have antiseptic properties. Normal skin needs neutral herbs - those with neither astringent nor emollient properties. Some of the most common herbs are emollient Comfrey, violet, elder flowers, Irish moss and Marshmallow. Astringent herbs include marigold, calendula and Witch Hazel. Fortunately, each of these herbs also have antiseptic and astringent properties, so they are doubly good for oily skin. For those with blemished skin dry, add some 'of thyme.A word of warning about marigold - make sure you have pot marigold. The more you can do is French marigold - very toxic, used to weed killers and insecticides and definitely not suitable for natural skin care. Normal skin responds best to thyme or Yarrow. Both have cleansing and toning properties, but are neither astringent nor emollient. I am very refreshing. Although these herbs are available as extracts and in a variety of ready-made natural products for skin care, you can simply make them at home. Soak the herbs in hot water for about 30 minutes, keeping the heat during that time, but not allowing them to boil. After cooling, strain herbs and pour the liquid into a bottle for use. Pat simply preparation for the skin, leaving it for 10-30 minutes, rinse and dry. Another great advantage of making their products for skin care is that you know exactly what is in them. The products you buy, while they may contain beneficial herbs, may also contain other ingredients that are harsh or toxic, or can not be right for your skin type. Try adding these to your natural skin care routine basis for a week or two and you may be pleasantly surprised.
