Natural sleep aid Valerian Root as Antidepressant?

For thousands of years, valerian root had been used as a natural sleep aid to treat sleeping problems like insomnia, and recently people have been using valerian root as an antidepressant with good results. Valerian root is still being used by many with great success to help alleviate insomnia, even with so many prescription and over-the-counter remedies. What makes it more effective from the other is that it is not addictive and is mild, and can be used to relieve stress and anxiety as well.
