Stopping Smoking And Tobacco Use That Aggravates Receding Gums
Dentist should examine their patients with minor or even serious gum disease in a regular basis to check for forming of pockets and bone loss, most particularly with accompanying receding gums. Avoiding tooth loss and gums that recedes needs good prevention, early diagnosis and aggressive and effective treatments. As for most people, receding gums can be prevented by observing good oral hygiene and a good program of dental health care. Most dentist try to advise their patients to quit smoking and the stop tobacco use for it increases the risk for gum recession. Not only it can cause gums to recede but can affect general health as well.
